About The Role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Growth squad, a cross-functional team driving user acquisition, activation, and monetisation.
This is a hands-on, high-impact expert IC role ideal for a designer ready to operate at a strategic level, balancing visionary thinking, rigorous execution, and exceptional craft. Reporting to our Head of Design, you’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to define and design growth initiatives that make Paired indispensable for couples.

- Marry data with intuition: blend qualitative research, quantitative insights, and strong product instincts to inform design decisions and drive measurable impact
- Influence beyond your squad: collaborate across teams, facilitate design alignment, and elevate product-wide design thinking
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product design with a strong track record of leading high-impact initiatives (we recognise that titles vary, what really matters is your experience scope to act a true expert in our team)
- Deep expertise in designing consumer-facing mobile and web products, ideally subscription-based, in related verticals such as femtech, health & wellness, education, or self-improvement
- Strong portfolio with 2+ in-depth case studies showcasing strategic problem-solving, design process, and clear results

#TogetherWeDeliver
Ruby on Rails Developer
Hi, we’re CompanyCam.
We’re a simple-to-use photo documentation and productivity app for contractors of all commercial and home services industries. Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor’s entire business. We’re committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.
But don’t let that corporate description fool you—the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!
The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, self-motivated, problem-solving Backend Engineer to join our team.
As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you’ll work alongside other engineers, designers, and product managers to tackle everything from huge company initiatives to modest but important bug fixes, from start to finish. You’ll also collaborate with your product team on discovery, helping to assess the direction and feasibility of product changes.
Engineers at CompanyCam provide input on solutions, implementation strategies, and the overall direction of our app. This means that you will have the chance not only to share your valuable insights, but also to learn new skills and expand your career.
Working At CompanyCam
Our engineering team is remote-first, spanning every time zone in the United States. We welcome people from all backgrounds and really don't care whether or not you have a CS degree or even a high school diploma. All that matters is that you're not an a**hole and you're good at what you do.
At CompanyCam we’re driven to produce work with meaningful outcomes. That means not just dumping features and “improvements” but being able to reflect and learn from our outputs. We’re actively working to center our work on continuous discovery habits (CDH) as outlined by Teresa Torres.
Okay, that’s how we identify work to do, but how do we actually work? Our teams are made up of a product manager, a product designer, a tech lead and an appropriate number of engineers for the scope of your team. We take a flexible approach, pulling from Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and even Shape Up. Rather than being overly prescriptive, we provide guardrails and just enough constraints to keep teams moving. Each team is expected to collaborate, iterate, and refine their best practices to produce high-quality work.
What We Ask of You
Must-haves
These are our non-negotiables:
- Show up: Have the courage to do difficult but necessary work.
- Grow up: Take ownership, learn continuously, and bring a growth mindset.
- Do good: Treat your teammates and customers the way you'd want to be treated.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience. (Not all years of experience are created equal, so this one isn't set in stone).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals - building APIs, managing background jobs, and debugging performance or reliability issues in a large, evolving Rails monolith.
- You live and work permanently in the U.S. (We’re not set up to hire outside the U.S.).
Nice-to-haves
While 90%+ of your day-to-day will be in Ruby on Rails, we use a variety of tools and platforms. You’ll encounter the following technologies with varying frequency — experience with them is a plus, but not required:
- AWS (S3, EC2, etc.)
- ElasticSearch
- MongoDB
- Terraform (we don’t write much, but familiarity is helpful)
- GraphQL
Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our salary range is $150,000 - $165,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
CompanyCam is an equal-opportunity employer committed to respect, inclusion, and growth. We work hard, take responsibility, and support each other. Great ideas come from all backgrounds, and we carefully consider every applicant without regard to personal characteristics or traits. Even if your work experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply. What really matters to us is your potential, your passion, and your commitment to learning, innovation, and contributing meaningfully to our team.
For any accommodations or technical issues related to the online application or interview process, please email jobs@companycam.com and we’ll respond promptly. Please do not include any medical or health information in your message.

Here are some examples of projects you may work on:
- Building ways to improve workflows around email-based customer acquisition — e.g., we just shipped a Sequences feature, which allows users to define personalized and automatic follow-on replies
- Creating automation capabilities that make our users’ lives easier — e.g., we recently built a set of features that trigger customer-definable automations on data import (like deduplication) and certain customer actions, such as canceling a subscription creates a task for the relevant success team
